General Info

What's the goal of the OSCMS Summit?
To provide a space where open source projects can come together and learn about each other, and share approaches to some of the same challenges we face. As well, it provides an opportunity for people interested in a project to gather together in one place, rather than having to organize an entire conference on their own.
Will there be food?
Yahoo! will be letting us eat at their cafeteria on-site! Prices are reasonable and the food is decent.
I'd like to sponsor this event. How? What do I get?
This is another one of those contact us questions. We're definitely looking for more sponsors -- you'll get recognition during the conference, and we'll put your logo on the website here.

Info for Attendees

Who should come to this event?
This conference is primarily geared toward developers and technical enthusiasts. But the conference is created by its participants. If you want to see a certain type of session, your best option is to organise or coordinate it yourself.
Where should I stay?
Check the home page for some info on accommodations, or check the Accommodations forum. We thought we might be able to swing camping, but that's not going to be possible.
What do I need to bring?
If you've got a laptop, bring it. There will be a Hacker's Lounge, wireless access, etc.

Info for Presenters

I want to have a session. What do I do?
Submit your session idea for voting!

Info for Projects

I'm a project ambassador and want to have my project participate. What do I need to do? What do you want?
We want projects to participate! register an account on this site and post to the Add my project! forum, with a link to your logo. We want each project to give at least two sessions: one that is a general "Overview of Project X", and a second more advanced session.
How many sessions does each project get?
We're not sure what the maximum will be. If you've got lots of people coming, we'll happily make space for as many sessions as you want.
