Welcome!
OSCMS takes place on March 22nd and 23rd and the schedule has been posted.
If you are on the Attendees List, then congratulations! You are registered for the conference! If you are not on this list, we apologize, but we are over capacity.
If you have registered, but you are NOT planning on coming, please log in, then visit your account to delete your registration (this was broken but has been fixed). This will help our event planning greatly. Thanks.
Also, feel free to submit / sign up for adjunct events.
It's happening! The Open Source Content Management System Summit is being sponsored by Yahoo!
When?
March 22nd and 23rd from 8:00am 'til we pass out
(or 7pm, whichever comes first)
Coffee and registration starts at 8:00am. The first session starts at 9:00am each day.
Please allow time for parking, navigating security, and registration (i.e. get there early!).
What?
A gathering of Open Source content management systems and the geeks who love them: the conference open to all open source CMSes and will host several "sub-conferences" including Drupal's DrupalCon.
You can find a list of OSCMS sessions in the Schedule.
Where?
The Yahoo! campus in Sunnyvale, CA
Yahoo! Inc.
701 First Avenue
Sunnyvale, CA. 94089
How do I get there?
Sunnyvale is in the heart of California's Silicon Valley. It is about a 30 minute drive from the San Francisco airport (SFO), a 40 minute drive from the Oakland airport (OAK), and 15 minutes from the San Jose airport (SJC). You will probably need a car, but several people are coordinating carpools, so if you need a ride, please post in the forums.
The following are directions to the Sunnyvale complex from all the major highways.
(MAP URL = http://maps.yahoo.com/index.php#q1=701+First+Avenue%2C+Sunnyvale%2C+CA%2...)
Hwy 101 : From San Jose:
- Take freeway 101 North and exit on Mathilda Avenue, take a right.
- Continue on Mathilda to First Avenue.
- Turn LEFT on First Ave.
Hwy 101 : From Palo Alto:
- Take freeway 101 South and exit on highway 237 east (Milpitas exit.).
- Once on 237, take the next exit (Mathilda), and turn left.
- Turn LEFT on First Ave.
(If you miss the Mathilda exit, continue to Lawrence Expressway, make the loop and continue northwards. This turns into Caribbean Way, and leads to First Avenue. If going this way, you'll turn RIGHT on First Ave.)
Hwy 237 : From Milpitas:
- From either freeway 680 or 880 take highway 237 west to Caribbean Way.
- Caribbean Way turns into Mathilda near First Ave.
- Turn LEFT on First Ave.
Hwy 280:
- Take the Lawrence Expressway exit, Going towards Santa Clara/Sunnyvale (or north)
- Lawrence turns in to Caribbean Way after the 237 overpass.
- Caribbean Way turns into Mathilda near First Ave.
- Turn LEFT on First Ave.
Parking
Upon arrival onto FIRST AVENUE, make your first RIGHT hand turn toward the security kiosk. A guard will direct you to the correct parking structure from there.
How much?
The conference is FREE! However, in order for Yahoo to generate campus passes, we will require everyone to register. Unfortunately, we are now over capacity and registrations are closed.
Where should I stay?
There are several nearby hotels. We are recommending the Sunnyvale Sheraton or the more budget priced Best Western. We will also be researching the possibility of a group room rate. Stay tuned.
The conference starts up early on Thursday and Friday (the 22nd and 23rd) so you'll probably want to fly in Wednesday at the latest.
Request for Video
It would be great to be able to post video of the event for those who aren't able to attend. We're looking for volunteers to video tape sessions and post them on the web.
If you would like to volunteer or help coordinate this effort, please post here:

What else?
There will be a free wi-fi network for those with laptops. Coffee, snacks, and lunch will all be available on the Yahoo! campus. Some will be sponsored (i.e. free), bring some cash for the rest.
There are also a few adjunct events happening around the conference, so be sure to accommodate these in your travel plans.
I want the OSCMS logo to stick on my website!
Get it right here.
